Your study and work application checklist

Updated 8 October 2026. Prepare one evidence folder, then adapt it to each official opportunity.

  1. Check the official provider, current intake, location, eligibility, application fee, funding or salary, and deadline with its timezone.
  2. Record your qualifications, relevant experience and achievements accurately. Keep certificates, transcripts and references ready.
  3. Check language evidence requirements with the receiving institution. A Medium of Instruction letter is accepted only where that institution confirms it; your school must verify and issue it.
  4. For jobs, check location restrictions, permission to work and visa sponsorship separately. Remote work does not establish worldwide eligibility.
  5. Prepare a CV and a tailored statement or cover letter. Review every claim and attachment before submitting. Referees, sponsors and institutions must approve and sign their own statements.
  6. Submit through the official provider, retain a receipt and track follow-up dates. Check the source again before paying fees or sharing sensitive documents.

Requirements vary by programme, employer and intake. SAAT does not guarantee selection, admission, funding, visas or employment.
